Most people think that our stores buy their products straight from the factory. But that's not always the case.
The idea to run field trips to factories came to me when I was driving down the highway. But unlike every other time before, for the first time I noticed the dozens of trucks and containers around me. Then the factories, telecommunication and lighting equipment that that straddle the highway. Little by little, I began asking more questions about the many products that support my lifestyle, from my shoes to my garbage, even producing a short film along the way.
Where do our products come from? How are they made? What is my impact as a consumer? What is my role as a citizen? And why should I even care?
E2 Adventures stands for Education + Economy. I designed it as an invitation to the next generation to use their experience in high school as a means to engage with the world around us. Through critical thinking and exposure to the real world, we can train today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
