Frozen Signals at Mission Control: Writing Prompt or Presentation Topic

You're working in the control room of an electric rail system when a sudden snowstorm hits the city. On your monitoring screens, a red alarm flashes: an automated train carrying 400 passengers across a high bridge has lost its radio connection to a trackside sensor because of ice buildup. The train’s built-in computer safety system immediately initiates emergency braking and halts the train safely on the bridge. However, five other driverless trains behind it are now grinding to a halt in a chain reaction, and thousands of nervous commuters are stranded on station platforms.

How would you handle this high-stakes scenario from the control desk? Explain how you would use your backup systems, communicate with the passengers trapped on the bridge and in the stations, and guide a maintenance crew to clear the sensor so the network can safely move again.
